.Video: Flight School feat. Joe Budden- In The Clouds
Directed by: AARONMAN
This video blew me away, the song led me to research, the research ended up with a free, hot album from Flight School. Their sound is very similar to The Weeknd but with more of a rock feel. Enjoy!

The Fresh Prince of Bell Air is one of my all-time favorite staples of growing up. This show represented so much about the 90’s culture, while the warm cast and Will Smith’s emerging talent found their way into the hearts of America. For a musical tribute, here is a smooth mix of scenes and sounds from the sitcom we all remember. Very well done.
.ALBUM: Robert Glasper: Black Radio
.Track: “Ah Yeah” feat. Musiq Soulchild and Chrisette Michele
Robert Glasper Experiment has kicked off 2012 with the release of the new single “Ah Yeah” this week through all digital retailers. The track which features Musiq Soulchild and Chrisette Michele on vocals—is the lead single from Glasper’s highly-anticipated forthcoming album Black Radio, which will be released by Blue Note Records on February 28!
Robert Glasper has long been one of my favorite jazz pianists, his album ‘Double Booked’ has remained steadily in my rotation since its release in 2009. Now, he is back and merging the worlds of Jazz, RnB, and Hip Hop in a unique collaboration LP experiment called: Black Radio. Glasper will be working with the musical genius of Badu, Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco and Bilal to name a few. The amount of talent on the line up tangibly exciting.
You can preview and pre-order this groundbreaking mix at www.robertglasper.com.
Enjoy!

Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live. - Norman Cousins

Video: Bad Rabbits - Walkin’ on the Moon (The Dream Cover)
Who can take the original artists song and make it sound better? Bad Rabbits that’s who! Dope take on the original, and although they hail Terrius Nash as an influence, the vocals on Dua Boakye trumps the songwriters. Check it out, as well as our last write up on them which can be read by clicking here. Definitely keep an eye out for these guys, as we feel they’re gonna be big!

“The Dreamer. The Believer “ is the name of Common’s new album, slated to hit stores on November 22nd. The Dreamer and the Believer are also key characters here in his latest video as Common lays flat on his back dreaming and rhyming under a ceiling fan while a young basketball player and aspiring ballerina are also working, believing as they practice in pursuit of perfection. I find the video inspiring, and the song head knocking and powerful. I also just found out that the album is entirely produced by No I.D. and I am filled with anticipation.

Video: Kendrick Lamar: “A.D.H.D.”
Directed by Va$htie.
“I had the honor of directing a music video for one of my new favorite artists - Kendrick Lamar. After falling in love with his mixtape Section.80 and playing it on repeat, I was given the choice to pick any song to direct. I settled on “A.D.H.D.” for it’s dark beat and melancholy lyrics, tones that have always resonated with me. Like most of Kendrick’s songs off Section.80, it felt like a confessional of a conflicted generation; a timeless and universal theme.
I wanted the video to illustrate the emotion he paints with words, while avoiding gratuitous shots of any substance. Despite the song’s title and content, the focus isn’t the drugs, but rather, that basic human experience of apathetic youth. That simple mood of emptiness which we choose to either address or self-medicate.
Kendrick is a monster. Not only is he gifted as a musician, but as a person, he’s a genuine sweetheart.
I hope you like the video…” – Va$htie, Director
I just watched the world premiere of Beyonce’s powerful love ballad: “1 plus 1” on E! News, I was captivated by the cinematography, the beauty, her glowing skin, her body, the dancing and the production as a whole product. The glitter of it all truly adds to the song, but to me, the song itself stands nothing less than magnificent on its own.
So, instead, here is some behind the scenes footage shot by Jay-Z’s iPhone of Beyonce rehearsing back in May, in the most natural and unprocessed form. HOV says:
Sometimes you need perspective. You’ve been right in front of greatness so often that you need to step back and see it again for the first time. This is the dressing room rehearsal for American Idol. NO MICROPHONE. No effects. – Andy WarHOV.
